Trustees & co-founders

Muryel Boulay

Muryel spent two decades making British biscuits around the world with a short detour on the continent, she launched herself into studying again about everything that makes the world a better place and guiding businesses toward positive impact on people and planet

Tom Danning

Tom has a background in Banking and Finance but has recently completed a Masters in Sustainability and Climate Adaptation. He is currently exploring new opportunities within specialist areas of the finance sector to help accelerate the shift toward a sustainable economy. He sees the role of finance as a fundamental pillar of speeding up the green transition and implementing climate change solutions. Having grown up in west Cornwall being surrounded by the sea and nature he is a passionate environmentalist and advocates for improved access to nature for all. He has many interest areas within the environmental realm and is a trustee for the global organisation Trash Hero (a zero waste education and community action charity). Tom is a keen climate activist and took part in a walk from London to Glasgow in 2021 to raise the awareness of the COP26 meeting.

Natasha Somers

Natasha (Tash) has artistic flair and curiosity about exploring the wonders of Nature. She has been the engine behind various community engagement projects connecting people to Nature and now also works with landowners to be better custodians, raising biodiversity and wellbeing. She sits on the committee of local charity Wild Marlow, focusing on work with schools and also volunteers at Waltham Place which fuels her love of biodynamic agriculture. Tash loves the process of art, watching native plants being eaten by bugs, swimming in rough sea with her children and anything made from a potato.

Harriet Pleming
Land Owner & Parish Councillor

Harriet was an investigative journalist for BBC Watchdog, where she gained a healthy distrust of large corporations and helped to embarrass companies into refunding customers. Working as a journalist taught her to question “facts” and research “claims”.

When she had her daughter 11 years ago, she became acutely aware of global warming. She now applies her holistic thinking and examinations to curing man-made problems in our natural environment. She spends her days plotting ways to reduce the effects of climate change and has a small library on the subject.

She wants to sequester carbon, and believes healing the soil is a huge part of this. She owns farmland in Wales. Acres of artificially fertilised and over harvested pasture that for years had been cut for silage, used to feed animals that lived indoors and consequently starved the land of organic matter which feeds the soil. Her aim is to increase biodiversity, soil health, water infiltration and investigate the best ways to do this. She is at the beginning of this journey.

Dan Tipney
Head of Culture, Patient Safety and Human Factors, The Ralph

Dan is a passionate environmentalist and a father who cares deeply about the planet that the future generations depend upon, humans and non-humans alike. A former airline pilot, Dan stopped flying altogether due to a desire to live in a way that is consistent with what he believes is required to prevent climate and ecological collapse. His professional role now involves working with healthcare and veterinary teams with non-clinical training and support. A significant element within this role involves supporting practices and hospitals in terms of establishing and maintaining a culture that is consistent with their values, something which he passionately believes is at the heart of reaching potential as an organisation.
